RUC alumni are defined as follows: students and faculty who once studied or worked in RUC or its predecessor (Shanbei Public School, North China United University, North China University) as well as celebrities of all professions from home and abroad, who were awarded honorary degrees and honorary titles by RUC. According to this definition, the population of RUC alumni has exceeded 200,000.

About Us:

The Alumni Association of RUC dates back to Alumni Association of Shanbei Public School and North China United University (Alumni Association of Shangong and Lianda, for short).Alumni Association of Shangong and Lianda whose members are alumni from Shanbei Public School and North China United University, was founded on May 9th, 1995. Since its establishment, various kinds of activities for promoting friendship have been carried out to connect the alumni with the university. As the ages of the members in the association have grown to exceed 70, they could not hold the position of running the association any longer, which is required by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. As a result, in April 2005, the alumni decided to make a proposal to RUC, suggesting that the association be transferred to the university and renamed as the Alumni Association of RUC, with Ji Baocheng, the university president at the time, the new legal representative. The work of renaming was undertaken by Alumni Office. Three years’ hard work culminated in the document officially released by the Ministry of Civil Affairs on October 6th, 2008, approving the renaming of the association and the Alumni Association Statute.

重庆体彩网On March 11th, 2009, the Fifth Congress of members of RUC Alumni Association (Shangong and Lianda Alumni Association had previously held four congresses of members) was held in RUC. In the meeting, the fifth board of directors of Alumni Association was selected, where people in charge of the association were chosen.
